Who we are
This site is published by Fabrice G., a private individual living in France. You can reach us at hello@randooom.com.
There is no account. The tools run in your browser, and nothing you type or draw is stored on a server. The only exception is the Secret Santa by email, explained below.
Data stored in your browser
Some preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your own device: the page color, your lists, the sound setting and a Secret Santa draw in progress. They are never sent to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Microphone
The microphone is used only when you press the microphone button, and your browser asks for your permission first. Speech recognition is done by your browser, which may send the audio to its provider (for example Google, in Chrome). We do not receive or keep any recording.
Secret Santa by email
If you use the email version, the organizer enters the first names and email addresses of the participants. They are stored on our server (Cloudflare) so that each person can receive their private link. The emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France).
Who gives to whom is stored encrypted, and the organizer never sees the pairs. Each participant’s wish list is stored with the group.
Everything is deleted automatically 30 days after the exchange date, or 60 days after the group was created if no date was set. The organizer can delete the group sooner from the management link.
The organizer should only add people who agree to receive this email. Anyone can ask for their data to be deleted by writing to hello@randooom.com.
Audience measurement
We count visits in two ways.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our host, counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone. It keeps only overall figures (pages, countries, type of device).
- Google Analytics loads only if you click “OK” in the small bar shown on your first visit. It then sets cookies (_ga) to recognize a visit and show us how the tools are used. The data is processed by Google Ireland Limited. It is not used for advertising or to identify you, and detailed data is kept for 2 months.
You can change your mind at any time: change my choice.
Advertising
There is no advertising on the site at the moment. Later, the site will be funded by advertising from Google AdSense. This page will be updated before any ad is added, and your consent will be asked where the law requires it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical data, such as IP addresses and server logs, to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. Since tool data stays on your device, most of your data never reaches us.
To exercise your rights, write to hello@randooom.com. You can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
