Lottery number generator: quick picks for Powerball, Mega Millions and more
Can’t decide which numbers to play? This lottery number generator makes random quick picks for the big lottery games in one tap. Pick a game, choose how many lines you want, and press Quick pick. It is free, there is no account and no app to install, and it works on a phone, tablet or computer.
It is a number tool, nothing more. Nothing is bought here, and the site has no link with any lottery operator. If you decide to play, you take the numbers to your official lottery yourself.
How to use it
- Choose a game. Tap the game name in the sentence to switch between sixteen games from the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and the rest of Europe, or a plain Pick 6 of 49.
- Choose your lines. Get one line, or 3, 5 or 10 lines at once.
- Press Quick pick. You can also tap the balls or hit the Space bar. The main numbers appear in round white balls, sorted from lowest to highest. The extra ball, such as the Powerball, the Mega Ball or the two EuroMillions Lucky Stars, has its own style, so you can’t mix them up.
- Copy your lines. The Copy button copies every line as plain text, ready to paste into a note or a group chat.
Within a line, a number never repeats, just like in a real drawing. The full screen button in the header makes the balls big enough to read across a room, and the Sound button in the bottom bar turns the little clicks off.
The games and their numbers
Each game has its own format, and the generator follows it. The last column shows how many different lines are possible. With one line, your chance of matching every number in a single drawing is 1 in that number.

Every game in the table has its own page, with its prize tiers and the odds of each one, calculated from the rules. In games with a bonus ball or supplementary numbers drawn from the same machine, such as UK Lotto, Lotto 6/49 or Oz Lotto, you don’t choose those numbers, so the generator gives the main numbers only. Formats change from time to time: Mega Millions moved to a $5 ticket in April 2025, Cash4Life gave way to Millionaire for Life in February 2026, Lotto Max moved to 52 numbers in April 2026, UK Lotto added a second round in June 2026, and Irish Lotto dropped to 45 numbers in September 2026. For a game that isn’t in the menu, the random number generator lets you set any range with No repeats.
Ideas for using it
- Office or family pools. Generate 10 lines, press Copy and share the list, so the whole group sees the same numbers.
- When you can’t decide. Let chance choose instead of writing the same birthdays every week.
- Math class. Big odds are hard to picture. Generate a few lines, then ask students how many lines it would take to cover every combination.
- A pretend drawing. At a party, with no money involved, everyone writes down a line. Press Quick pick for the “official” result and see who matched the most.
For a prize drawing at an event, the raffle generator is a better fit, and for a game night, try the bingo caller.
Is it fair? Can any method improve the odds?
The numbers come from your browser’s cryptographic random generator, the same kind of source used for security. Every combination is equally likely, including ones that look odd, like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
No method can improve your odds. A lottery drawing doesn’t know how a line was chosen, so a quick pick wins exactly as often as numbers you pick yourself. Past results don’t help either: each drawing is independent, and there are no “hot” or “cold” numbers. That is why the note under the tool says: Just for fun. No tool can change the odds.
There is one thing your choice can change: how many people you might share a jackpot with. Many players pick birthdays, which only go up to 31, or simple patterns on the play slip. When a popular combination comes up, the prize is split among more winners. Random numbers avoid those habits. That does not make you more likely to win. It only makes you less likely to share if you do.
How long is 1 in 292 million?
Powerball is drawn three times a week, about 156 times a year. If you played one line in every drawing, you would wait on average about 1.9 million years for a jackpot.
Play responsibly
The lottery is a game, not a plan for your money. If you play, set a budget, spend only what you can afford to lose, and buy tickets only from your official lottery or its authorized retailers. You must be of legal age where you play, and that age varies by state. If gambling stops being fun, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is open 24/7: call or text 1-800-MY-RESET.
A bit of history
Powerball held its first drawing in 1992. Mega Millions started in 1996 as The Big Game and took the Mega Millions name in 2002. In 2026, Powerball also began selling tickets in the United Kingdom, where players share the same jackpot.
