A spinning wheel that lives on your page

Want your readers to spin a wheel without leaving your blog, club site or Wix page? The widget maker above is already set to the spin wheel. Pick Small, Medium or Large, tap Copy code and paste it into your site: the wheel shows up ready to spin, in the color of this page. For another color, change it with the palette at the bottom right before you copy.

What the wheel does on your site

  • Everyone's own list. Visitors tap the list button (it reads “8 Names” at first), clear the examples and type their own entries, one per line: names, dinner ideas, dares, table numbers.
  • A real spin. Tap Spin in the middle, or grab the wheel with a finger or the mouse and flick it. It turns the way you throw it and ticks as it slows down; the Sound button mutes the ticking.
  • Remove the winner. Under the result, the “Remove” button followed by the winner's name takes that entry off the wheel. Handy for a running order or for several winners in a row.
  • Shuffle and Sort. These two buttons tidy up the list, and Results recalls the latest spins.

Pasting it into your site

  • WordPress: add a Custom HTML block, paste the code and update the page.
  • Wix: Add Elements, then the Embed Code tab, then Embed HTML. Click Enter Code, paste, then Apply.
  • Google Sites: Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab. Paste, click Next, then Insert.
  • Others: Squarespace, Webflow and Shopify all take a block of HTML code. On a hand-built site, paste the code where the wheel should appear.

How it works

  1. Pick a tool

Tap the tool name in the sentence at the top: wheel, dice, coin flip, name picker, teams… The preview shows the widget right away.

  2. Choose a size and a color

Pick Small, Medium or Large. The widget takes the color of the page: change it with the palette at the bottom right.

  3. Copy the code

Tap Copy code and paste it into your site, or tap Link for Notion and paste the link into an Embed block.

A picker wheel, not a coupon wheel

Many “spin to win” wheels for websites are pop-ups that trade a discount code for an email address. This one asks for nothing: no form, no prizes, no stored addresses. It picks at random from the list on the screen, and nothing your visitors type ever leaves their browser.

Which size to pick

Small (360 pixels wide) fits a blog sidebar. Medium (480 pixels) suits most pages. Large (760 pixels) shows the list next to the wheel along with the full button bar, which works best on a page built around the game or on a projected screen. On phones, every size narrows to fit the screen.

A wheel that is already filled in

Ready-made wheels keep their list in their widget. Open the country wheel or the chore wheel, tap Widget at the bottom left and copy the code: your visitors have nothing to type.

Questions

Can visitors put their own entries on the wheel?

Yes. Anyone can replace the sample names with their own list. It stays in their browser, so neither you nor other visitors can see it.

Can I set one list for all my visitors?

Not on the plain spin wheel, which always starts with its sample names. For a list set in advance, use the widget of a ready-made wheel (countries, numbers, letters, food…).

Is the result really random?

Yes. Every slice has the same chance. The winner is drawn by the browser's random number generator; how hard you spin only changes how long the wheel turns.

Will the widget slow down my page?

The code tells the browser to load the wheel only when it gets close to the screen. There are no ads, no analytics and no cookies inside.

Are the widgets free?

Yes. Every widget is free, with no account and no visit limit. Copy the code and you are done.
