Prize draws for the holiday party and team events

An office raffle usually has no tickets at all: everyone on the team gets one chance, and the company or a few suppliers provide the prizes. This page opens the raffle in name mode with a list called Staff. Paste the names from your HR export or the party sign-up sheet, one per line, and press Draw once per prize. A person who has won leaves the draw, so the prizes spread across the team.

    Setting it up

    • Decide who is in. Everyone on the payroll? Only those at the party? Remote staff too? Say it before the draw.
    • Take out the organizers if they chose or bought the prizes; it avoids awkward jokes later.
    • List the prizes in order, smallest first. Draw for the extra day off or the big hamper at the end of the evening.
    • Show it on the big screen. The full screen button makes the reel readable from the back of the room.

    Prizes that people enjoy

An extra half day off, a late start on a Monday, the best parking spot for a month, lunch with the team of their choice, a gift card for a local restaurant, a donation to a charity the winner picks. Experiences and time off tend to land better than branded mugs.

    Several prizes in one press

For a long list of small prizes, tap one winner and choose 5 winners or 10 winners. Each winner appears in order, numbered, and Copy winners copies the list for the follow-up email. Use Start over only for a new raffle: it puts everyone back in.

    Remote colleagues

Share your screen on the video call while you draw, so people at home see the same reel as those in the room.

Planning the gift exchange as well? Run the office Secret Santa. For games after dinner, split the room with the 6 team generator.

    How it works

    1. Set up the draw

Keep “tickets” and tap the numbers to type the first and last ticket, or switch to “a list of names”, one per line.

    2. Choose how many winners

Tap “one winner” in the sentence to draw 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 winners at a time.

    3. Draw the winners

Press Draw or the Space bar. The reel rolls and stops on each winner, listed as Winner 1, Winner 2 and so on.

    Questions

    Can someone win two prizes?

No. Once drawn, a name stays out of the draw until you press Start over, so each prize goes to a different person.

Some people should have more chances. How?

Enter their name more than once, for example one line per year of service. The first time a name is drawn, all its lines leave the draw.

Is a free staff raffle the same as selling raffle tickets?

No. When nobody pays to enter, it is a prize draw offered by the employer. Raffles where people buy tickets follow stricter rules that vary by place.

    Is the raffle generator free?

Yes. It is free, funded by advertising, with no account and no app to install.
