A Christmas activity for every day of Advent

Think of it as an Advent calendar of things to do: 24 Christmas activities, one for each day from December 1 to Christmas Eve. Decorate the tree, bake gingerbread, make paper snowflakes, drive around to see the lights, write a letter to Santa, sing carols. Spin each morning, press Remove, and by the 24th you have done them all.

Ways to use the Christmas wheel

  • Activity advent calendar. One spin a day, from December 1. Because you press Remove, no activity comes back, and the wheel is empty on Christmas Eve.
  • Weekend picker. Short on time? Spin only on weekends, two activities each.
  • Classroom countdown. Teachers can spin a class activity for each school day of December. Delete the ones that only work at home.
  • Party game. At a Christmas party, spin to choose the next game or song.

Plan around the weather

Some activities need a trip out or a bit of snow. Delete them if the weather or the schedule says no:

Out of the house729.2%

For gifts, the Secret Santa generator draws names, and the gift idea wheel helps when you have no idea what to buy.

How it works

  1. Add your entries

Type names or options in the box, one per line. Your list stays saved in this browser.

  2. Spin the wheel

Tap the wheel or the Spin button in its center, press Space, or flick the wheel with your finger or mouse.

  3. See the winner

The wheel slows down and stops on one slice. Spin again, or remove the winner to draw the next one.

Questions

How do I use it as an advent calendar?

Spin once on each day from December 1 to December 24 and press Remove after the spin. With 24 activities on the wheel, each one comes up exactly once.

What if we land on building a snowman without snow?

Swap it: spin again before you press Remove, or replace the line with something like "Make a snowman out of paper".

Can I add our own family traditions?

Yes. Type them on new lines and delete activities that don't fit. The list is saved in your browser for next year.

Is it good for kids of all ages?

Most activities work from preschool to teens. Teens may enjoy the quiz night and the cookies for the neighbors more than paper snowflakes.

Is this wheel of names free?

Yes. It is free to use, funded by advertising, with no account and no app to install.
