Irish Lotto number generator

The Irish National Lottery changed its Lotto in September 2026. Balls 46 and 47 were removed, so you now choose six numbers from 1 to 45, and a third weekly draw was added: Lotto is drawn on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. A line costs €2, with a minimum of two lines, so the smallest ticket is €4.

At each draw, six winning numbers and a bonus number come out of the same machine. The bonus only counts in the “+ Bonus” rows of the table. Prize amounts below the jackpot depend on the number of winners, so the table shows the odds, which are fixed: removing two balls took the jackpot odds from about 1 in 10.7 million to 1 in 8,145,060.

Press Quick pick for six different numbers in order. Since a ticket needs at least two lines, choose 3 lines and keep two, or press Quick pick twice. For €1 more per line, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 play the same numbers again, each with a top prize of €1 million.

Before you fill in a slip

  • Two lines are two chances, nothing more. Each line has the same 1 in 8,145,060 chance, so two lines double the odds and the cost together.
  • Match 3 is the most common win. About one line in 48 matches three numbers without the bonus, and one in 25 wins some prize.
  • Jackpot sharing is where your choice counts. Lines built from birthdays or patterns on the slip are common, so a random line is less likely to share a jackpot. Its chance of winning is exactly the same.

What are the odds of winning the Irish Lotto jackpot?

Since September 2026, 1 in 8,145,060 per line: six numbers from 1 to 45. Before the change, with 47 numbers, it was about 1 in 10.7 million.

When is the Irish Lotto drawn?

Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Monday draw was added in September 2026.

Do I pick the bonus number?

No. The bonus number is drawn from the balls left after the six winning numbers, and it only matters for the + Bonus prizes. That is why the generator gives six numbers.

Is this lottery number generator free?
