Pick between and
This page is set to a range of ten thousand numbers. Press Generate and you get one of them, each with a chance of one in 10,000, or 0.01%. The reel spins through the digits and lands on the result.
A four-digit code runs from 0000 to 9999, which is also ten thousand possibilities. To make every code possible, tap the numbers in the sentence to set the range to 0 to 9999, and add leading zeros if the result is shorter than four digits. A randomly picked code is far harder to guess than a birth year or a repeated digit, which are among the first combinations people try. The number is generated in your browser and is not sent anywhere, but for a bank card or a phone, follow the rules of the service that issues the code.
Even with ten thousand numbers, repeats arrive sooner than you might expect. If you draw 100 numbers one at a time with No repeats off, the chance that at least two of them match is about 39%. When every winner must be different, keep No repeats on.
10,000 possible numbers. What changes when you pick more than one at a time:
| Numbers picked | A given number is among them (No repeats on) | At least one number twice (No repeats off) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0.01% | 0% |
| 2 | 0.02% | 0.01% |
| 3 | 0.03% | 0.03% |
| 5 | 0.05% | 0.1% |
| 10 | 0.1% | 0.45% |
| 20 | 0.2% | 1.9% |
The lowest and highest numbers for this page are already in the sentence at the top, and both can come up. Nothing to type before your first pick.
Press Generate or the Space bar, or tap the number. The reel rolls like a slot machine and stops on the result.
Tap how many numbers you want in the sentence to get up to 20 at once; No repeats keeps them all different. Tap either end of the range to type a new one.

0.01%, one in ten thousand, on every press.
Set the range from 0 to 9999 by tapping the numbers in the sentence, press Generate, and add zeros in front if the result has fewer than four digits.
Up to 20 per press. For more, press again; with No repeats on, numbers are only guaranteed different within the same press.
