Random number from 1 to 200

Two hundred is the size of a school fundraiser raffle, a mid-sized event or a typical paperback. The generator on this page is set to 1 through 200. Each press of Generate gives one number with a 0.5% chance, one in two hundred.

Raffles with up to 200 tickets

Raffle tickets usually come in books with numbered stubs. When you sell from several books, write down which ranges you actually sold, then set the range to cover them. If tickets 151 to 200 stayed unsold, tap the 200 in the sentence and change it to 150, so no draw lands on a ticket nobody holds. Draw all the prizes in one press with No repeats on, and read them out in the order you announced: first number, first prize.

Other things that come in 200s

  • Pages of a book. Open a novel at a random page for a reading game, a quote of the day or a quick comprehension check.
  • Survey and quality samples. Choose 10 or 20 records out of 200 to check by hand. A random sample is the simplest way to avoid always checking the first rows.
  • Big team events. Pick door prize winners from badge numbers, or a random seat for a spot prize.
  • Practice for estimation. Generate a number and ask students to round it, write it in words or place it on a number line.

For smaller draws, the 1 to 100 page works the same way; for bigger ones, try 1 to 500. To draw names instead of numbers, use the raffle tool.

What if only some raffle tickets were sold?

Set the range to the tickets you actually sold. Tap the highest number in the sentence and type the last ticket number, so the draw cannot land on an unsold ticket.

How do I pick 20 different numbers from 1 to 200?
