Pick between and
Four is the size of a lot of everyday sets: four answers on a multiple-choice quiz, four seasons, four players around a card table, four suits in a deck. The range is set to 1 through 4 when the page loads. Press Generate and each number has a 25% chance, exactly one in four.
Teachers who write multiple-choice tests by hand often lean on B and C without noticing, and students learn to guess the middle. Generating the position of the correct answer fixes that. Pick 10 or 20 numbers at once, keep No repeats off (several answers in a row can share a letter) and copy the list. If you need each letter used equally often, generate within blocks instead: ask for 5 numbers with No repeats on, and since only four exist you get each letter exactly once, in a shuffled order, for every block of four questions.
Want a real die on screen? The d4 roller shows a four-sided die and works with up to ten at once.
4 possible numbers. What changes when you pick more than one at a time:
| Numbers picked | A given number is among them (No repeats on) | At least one number twice (No repeats off) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 25% | 0% |
| 2 | 50% | 25% |
| 3 | 75% | 62.5% |
The lowest and highest numbers for this page are already in the sentence at the top, and both can come up. Nothing to type before your first pick.
Press Generate or the Space bar, or tap the number. The reel rolls like a slot machine and stops on the result.
Tap how many numbers you want in the sentence to get up to 20 at once; No repeats keeps them all different. Tap either end of the range to type a new one.

Yes for the odds: each of the four results has a 25% chance. The dice tool shows an actual four-sided die if you prefer.
Treat 1 to 4 as A to D. Tap “a number”, choose 10 or 20, and keep No repeats off so letters can repeat, as they would on a real test.
Yes. Each press is independent, so 3 then 3 again is just as likely as 3 then 1. With four options, the same number twice in a row happens one time in four.
